The development of the new refrigeration concept and associated accessories by Inventing Green is based on the premise that:

It is necessary to instill greater awareness in people regarding food waste, as one-third of the food produced on the planet is wasted without even reaching the table, both due to losses during agricultural production and processing, as well as inadequate storage. Therefore, it is necessary to instill Biofilia, that is, instinctive love for life.

Plastic is still widely used in many sectors, to the point that we are submerged in an ocean of it, not to mention the devastating effects of microplastics and nanoplastics resulting from its fragmentation, as well as its use in numerous widely consumed products (including cosmetics), which are difficult to see with the naked eye but have a negative impact on the health of nature and all living beings. Although plastic is recyclable, it does not solve the problem at its source as it will never be biodegradable. Furthermore, it is against nature to genetically manipulate microorganisms (such as GMO bacteria) in the name of biotechnology serving society. In fact, “Everything you can imagine, nature has already created” (Albert Einstein).

Blackouts are increasingly occurring worldwide due to electrical overload (not to mention the harmful effects of high electromagnetism), making it imperative to develop so-called low embodied energy products that operate at low energy levels themselves.

However, humans are solely responsible for all of this, not the cycle of nature.

On July 29, 2019, Earth Overshoot Day occurred (earlier every year), meaning that the Earth has exhausted its annual resources and there is a presumption for the 6th mass extinction. At current rates of consumption, by 2030, we will need two planets to support our current way of life (source: The Living Planet report by the World Wildlife Foundation).

A true paradigm shift

Thanks to the thermal shock resistance of the biocompatible material developed by Inventing Green, it will be possible to design additional accessories for the refrigerator to optimize food preservation. Once cooked, the food can be transferred from the refrigerator to the stove and/or oven using the same box, facilitating reheating without the need for multiple dishes and making it convenient for serving and/or transporting cooked food (a new lunch box). These accessories are also compatible with traditional refrigerators already on the market, making the transition to a new natural preservation method easier and reducing the use of plastic containers (like Tupperware). The entire project is complemented by filters for revitalizing drinking water. There is also ongoing experimentation with the possibility of passively purifying non-potable well water.
